Subject: Important Update Regarding Our Dog Grooming Services

Dear Valued Clients,

I hope this letter finds you and your furry companions well. I am writing to you today with an important update regarding our dog grooming services. Since our opening, the community support we have received has been incredible. We have truly been blessed with some of the best clients and are truly grateful. As you know, our top priority has always been to provide the highest quality service and care for your beloved pets. And now, in order to maintain this standard of excellence, we have made some new additions to our services and have also had to make some difficult decisions.

First, we are excited to inform you that we will be adding a summer quick-bath service for our pups. This low cost service will include a 15 minute bath service which will include our premium shampoos, skin and coat conditioner, ear cleaning, cologne, paw balm, and a towel dry(pups will be wet). This is a while-you-wait service and prices will begin at $25 for small short-haired pups and $35 for small long-haired pups. (Prices will vary depending on size and fur type). Pups MUST be tangle and mat free as no brushing will be provided. We have both an indoor and outdoor bathing station with warm water for your pups comfort. This is by appointment only and will be in 30 minute increments from 9am-3pm, 2 Saturdays a month.

Next, after careful consideration we have decided that we can no longer accept {NEW CLIENT} large breed[55+ lbs] pups for grooming (bath only on a case-by-case basis) at this time.(we will happily continue to maintain clients who are already on the books). This decision was made in order to ensure that we can continue to provide the best possible service to our current clients and their furry friends. Current clients may continue to book grooming services [at the discretion] of S’Barkles grooming.

In addition, we will be implementing some changes for our pricing for matted pups requiring additional handling due to coat condition. A de-matting fee will be added for pups with mats or those with fur that exceeds 1 inch due to the additional brushing, time, product, and care that is required to achieve the best grooming outcome. Matting can be virtually eliminated by keeping pups in a 6-8 week grooming rotation with regular at-home brushing. Quite often we are encountering matted pups who require a significant amount of extra care due to the longer lengths of their fur or excessive matting. In addition, we will likely require that matted pups be shaved for their health and safety. As always, we will discuss these issues upon visual inspection of the pups at drop-off.

Finally, due to increases in cost for equipment, supplies, and maintenance we will be implementing an increase in the charges for pups exceeding 55lbs, pups with coats 1” or longer, and matted pups of any size. This will not affect bath only pups or those who keep their pups on a 6-8 week grooming rotation with regular at-home brushing and are mat-free. The increase will vary per pup on a case by case basis and may not affect many of our clients.

We understand that these furry companions have unique needs, and we want to ensure that we can continue to meet those needs to the best of our abilities.
